This morning I have been chatting to lovely Lou Diamond over at A.L.I.E.N NYC…here’s what he had to say…

Hello Lou, introduce yourself…
What’s up folks, thanks to Sofi you know my name is Lou Diamond aka Zenith ahaha. I’m a aspiring music artist and I’m a member of A.L.I.E.N NYC.

Tell me a bit about A.L.I.E.N NYC….
Alot of people see A.L.I.E.N NYC as many things but we’re a creative collective from New York City that’s basically bringing a whole new lifestyle to the world. Many know us from our unique vision in clothing but we’re marking a whole new frame for the culture.

So, how many peeps are involved in the Alien movement, I know its a few…
Ahaha we get asked that a lot but we’re basically a fuse of a few artist who display their art in different forms. We all are from different part’s of NYC. Some say that’s what makes us a electric mix of individuals.

Lou, tell me about your music…
I feel many artist’s sell their music with a story or image rather then focusing on the art that’s suppose to express their visions. My music is basically the eyes of a male who was raised in the South Bronx. Which to some isn’t considered a good place to raise a kid…

Being raised somewhere like that is sure gunna make you a character n you certainly seem that…
Ahaha I hope I am! it’s funny cause stereotypes always take over who you really are our society. According to statistics I was suppose to be in jail right now at the age of 19, but I can honestly say being raised in the South Bronx shaped my life. Growing up around a negative environment made me into a positive individual..

Ha! Wow, statistics SUCK hey? People that want something out of life choose their own paths. This is true with you, your only 19 & look what your up to. You said your almost ready to go with A.L.I.E.N for Winter, tell me about what’s gunna be offered…
We are on a steady grind to bring our supporters & the world what they expect of us. It’s not easy at all but nothing is impossible. What i can really say is we’re gonna offer what A.L.I.E.N always offers but much more.

Ah, go on tell me about a few of your favourite pieces…
Every piece is my favourite cause when you see the growth of hard work & significance behind the whole collection. It becomes apart of your life cause every piece represents the vision we have at A.L.I.E.N.

The beanies, I love the beanies, you done them again this time round?
Ahaha, clothing is major part of A.L.I.E.N NYC but it’s not the only art form we’re gonna bring to the culture this time around but hey let’s see if new skullys make a special appearence..ahaha

Everyones big on the collab thing, anyone you’d like to collab with?
As a clothing line we’re cool with different brands who have their own look in the culture but we wouldn’t collab just to do it. It will have to be a creative concept and meaning behind the piece. So to answer the question just anyone who’s true to the game and can bring a creative outlook to the table. Innovation is the key to our works.

Nice! You already have a huge online presence & ALIEN is sold as far as here, the UK, I can imagine your gunna conquer the world even more but anywhere in particular that you would love the brand to be?
The real question is where we wouldn’t want the brand to be ahaha but let’s say every aspect in culture you can think of. We’re more then just a clothing line, as a creative collective we’re bringing engery and art in every section you can imagine.

All I can say is stay tuned & witness the history. Every day we walk the streets we’re defining A.L.I.E.N and who we are as individuals. Not just from what we wear but how we’re shaping our culture. Quan Luv (Founder of A.L.I.E.N) & I had a conversation recently and we basically disscussed how our site visits rise everyday & the general love we receive from supporters increase day by day. Just knowing people like you are excited makes us appreciate life & what position we’re in even more.
