Laxavala Headwear | NEW BRAND INSIGHT

Committed to homegrown skate essence, this Spanish label has taken the route of designing, refining and manufacturing its collections in Barcelona. This ensures the craftsmanship and integrity of each piece is an accurate reflection of the brands ethics and attitude.

Initially, LXV was a quality beanie brand that supported a collective of creative individuals within the snowboard, skateboard and artsy worlds. Bringing the best Barcelona ambassadors to the brand, the clean knit, fleece and tee development naturally ensued using avant-garde hues and colorful punches for pop.

Attention to detail has been given to each and every one of the pieces, every element of trim, closure detail, hangtag and embroidery. Expect the Fall 2012 seasonal collection to arrive soon through the LXV website and selected UK stockists.

Check your head: All natural. All local. All produced in Barcelona, not in China.

DELICIOUS CREPES | Crepe City Sneaker Festival

I grazed over rare crepes of leather, canvas and suede – either box fresh, part worn or worn once at the Bar Music Hall down Curtain Road, Shoreditch last sunday.

It was a sea of buying, selling and swopping with sneakers and apparel from Nike Jordans, Airmax and SB to Adidas, Supreme and Mishka. There were some rare soles and fine threads and from 1000‘s of pieces across 20 stalls i had my favorites.

Heres a sampler of the hustle from the lazy sunday afternoon at Crepe City Sneaker Festival…..betcha not going to miss out next time!

LAZY OAF Autumn Winter 2011 Launch

It was bright pop primary colours and punchy ‘toon themed threads down at Lazy Oaf’s Autumn/Winter 2011 collection launch last night. Refreshed with Babicka Vodka and ginger beer i had a quick chat with Lazy Oaf creator, Gemma Sheil to learn that she enjoys producing the collections based on entertaining inspiration and originality….

“The new AW11 line is a bright red green blue themed collection that brings a smile to your face….we have used jazzy cartoon themes and introduced new garment styles, such as the Geo Skater Dress and our new knitted accessories…its been a fun collection to develop.”

It’s a great line of gear to add some animation and amusement to your usually dull winter wardrobe! Here are some of the favourites and a peep of the launch…
