Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll have heard of Dalston Superstars – The satirical mock-umentary about a bunch of self absorbed Dalston-ites, Vice Magazine’s latest masterpiece. The series was introduced a month ago with a short promo called ‘The only way is Dalston’, originally intended to take the piss out of an MTV pitch to make an actual documentary about the very same scene. But now episode 1 has landed! and it’s amazing. Particularly Stefan’s character.
You might not rofl but viewing pleasure rates somewhere between looking at a Vice fashion shoot and watching The Only Way Is Essex. “Swag, Bitches!”
Goodhood shows off a selection of it’s AW 11 menswear stock in a moody autumnal feature shot by low-profile photographer and friend of the store – Doug McLean. The shoot features artists living and working in London’s east end including Word To Mother, Mudwig, Sickboy and Russell Maurice.
