What do you do for a living?
Robert S. Hashimoto here, I am the creator & founder of KLxTL, an online boutique where I design jewelry & accessories that satisfy the needs of an edgy, starving fashionista.

Talk us through a day in the life of you…
I basically wake up early in the a.m., first thing I literally do is check my phone for business related e-mails, I then head on over to my work space as I start working on orders, since nearly everything at my store is hand made. I then ship out the stuff, which then leaves pretty much half of my day free to do my everyday shit.

Makes you happy?
Satisfying my fellow KLxTL fans & supporters. God/Life/My Lova/Family.

This is varied, sometimes a day is incredibly boring, involving me lounging around in my underwear retouching/checking facebook like today. But another day could be very eventful like yesterday when I had a shoot for a couture collection, which was a huge success, then went on to the Dazed and Confused party/Rankin’s private view of a new exhibition which I have some work displayed at, then was on to Rankin and his wife Tuuli’s penthouse for a private party, and then much later onto a night in Dalston that my boyfriend was DJ’ing at…!

SOFIDONUTS MEETS LUKE DIXON

Who?
Luke Dixon.

What do you do for a living?
Freelance Graphic Artist.

Tell us about your work…

Where do you find your inspiration?
I’m always scouring the tinternet, plowing through various blogs, websites – taking pictures and I just try to work out a decent idea from there. It’s either that or I come up with my best idea, just before I’m about to fall asleep…then remember it a few days later…before I’m about to sleep – until a few weeks later it eventually gets put down on paper. As far as artists go, there’s enough quality illustrators/artists/graphic design kids on twitter/tumblr to keep you inspired to keep pushing your work. I try to inspire myself, by looking at my work and seeing how I take it on to the next level – I feel my work’s always improving, and I’m always looking expand on my idea’s, but theres only so much you can do within the boundaries of your situation. Hopefully I’ll start to get the big idea’s I’ve got, on the go this year and it’ll be a big few months for me…

Talk us through a day in the life of you…

By now I’m probably getting distracted by the History Channel…watching something to do with Americans buying stuff, and then making a profit later on….which you never actually see, they just say their going to make a profit – so you’ve just got to trust they will…

What…

Makes you cross?
Student Unions, Baked Beans, the e! channel, people who walk slowly or stop in front of you, rude people…although I don’t think I’ve said ‘ooh that makes me cross’ since I was about 11, but I’m definitely bringing it back!

Sofidonuts meets Shane Hawkins

Who?
Shane Hawkins. I’m still the fabricated Piccadilly Boy to many.

What do you do for a living?
I studied Photography and Creative Direction at Uni and then found work through my online blog as the Assistant Fashion Editor at London based magazine, Disorder.
In early 2007, the magazine introduced a club night located in Central London; I was responsible for the management of these nights, which included marketing, full organisation of the evening and attendance to be the evening’s host.
After a brief stint alongside the Editorial team at Dazed & Confused and TANK!, I now contribute to Brighton based quarterly magazine Spindle as well as DJ’ing at various club-nights throughout London and Brighton. I’ve also been commissioned to produce a ‘coffee table style’ book of portraits which will hopeful all be complete by the end of the year. Stocking filler.

Talk us through a day in the life of you…
Every day is diverse, as is the way in which i decide to present myself to the world that morning. One day i’ll wanna look like John Waters and the next day i’ll morph into Devlin.
I usually wake up to catch the latter part of Lorraine Kelly because her flouro pencil skirts tend to erase any wafting sensation of morning wood that still might be lurking. Depending on my diary for that day, anything is possible. I always have to feed my fish before i leave the house though and have to check that i haven’t thrown my underwear on inside out. I did that today and there’s nothing worse than having your pork sword perched in the bum-pouch all day. Nuh-uh.

What…

Makes you cross?
Zoe Luckers two tone toussles on Eastenders. That mane needs to see a relaxer *snaps fingers in Z formation*

Makes you happy?
Micro chips, Malibu and Melanie. C

Whats…

Your most missed memory?
Is this some sort of trick question? Amnesia was my favourite track on the last Britney album.
I miss being in love. and being loved. That sounds pretty gay but the fact that i’m a practising homosexual can excuse that, non?

The last thing you bought?
I bought a ‘make your own enchiladas’ pack and a bottle of poor mans RedBull.
The latter has since made me visit the water closet on more than 4 occasions.

Where’s your favourite place to be?
Curled up in my grans armpit as she sings “The little boy that Santa Claus forgot”, to me. it reminds me of being 4 and still getting weened off my dummy..

I’m very good at…
being a social commentator. To the surprise of many i can also rap really fucking well. My riddles go down harder than Divine Brown.

But I’d like to be very good at..
doing the straddle splits. My right splits are better than Tom Daley’s butterfly.

Sofidonuts Meets Nicki Dee

I love Nicki. I’ve been friends with her for years and found out that we are both obsessed with No Doubt in a train station car park whilst drinking some vodka at the age of 15. LOVE X

Who?
Nicola Dawson. I ramble a lot about nothing of interest.

What do you do for a living?
I’m a search engine marketing exec for an insurance company that’s down with the over 50s, yo! My life revolves around Google, Yahoo and MSN (GYM) or my mate ‘Jim’ as I sometimes like to refer to them as. My fiancé probably thinks I’m having an affair.

Talk us through a day in the life of you…
Writing this has made me realise just how dull my life really is!

I roll out of bed at approx. 07.15 after having hit the ‘snooze’ button twice. I feed myself and my rabbits (Mr. Moustache and Carla Bruni), have a shower, get dressed, feel bad about having not moisturised my body, then hop in my car and drive 40ish minutes to Folkestone. I quickly scan through a couple of search blogs, check my email and the company’s search results from the day before and compile a to-do list for the day. I spend a fair amount of time on the phone with our search agency and yapping to my team about the latest goss, whether in be in real life (IRL) or on t’interwebz. I seem to be in meetings quite a lot with the various different product marketing managers where I update them on how their products are doing in terms of search and we come up with ways to optimise their campaigns for the coming week or so.
I leave the office at about 17:15 and am home by 18:00. I chat to the rabbits, make some dinner (i.e. I add sauce to some pasta), tweet, read blogs, watch TV and generally laze around especially on weeknights. I’m usually in bed by 23:30.

What…

Makes you cross?

The fact that my mum’s in constant pain and drugged up to her eyeballs because of Spinal Tuberculosis.

Makes you happy?
Sunshine, my pet rabbits and my wonderful fiancé, Ruari. #vom.

Whats…

Your most missed memory?

Spending time with my family in the States. It’s kinda bittersweet. I get the hole-in-chest feeling when I think about times I’ve spent with them. Certain smells remind me of America, as do any grape-flavoured sweets like Bobby’s Sour Pops. I don’t think that answered the question…

The last thing you bought?
A packet of Paracetamol. I got ID’d for it as well. I didn’t even know you had to be of a certain age to buy that stuff! I’m 25.

Where’s your favourite place to be?
In bed. But safe in the knowledge that my phone with access to the internet is nearby. Y’know, just in case.

I’m very good at…

Losing things.

But I’d like to be very good at..
Mental maths.

Three…

Words you use all the time…
Yo; vom; whatevz. (I have the vocabulary of a 15 year old!)

Most visited websites…

Most listened to albums…
I’m gutted because my 160gb iPod decided to reformat itself on my birthday so not only did I lose all of my music, but I also lost all of my uni work, photos and important documents as I’d been using it as an external hard-drive for the past three years. My old laptop where the original files were stored had died a few months previously. Basically, what I’m saying is that I don’t have much music to hand anymore and I’ve been too lazy to burn my CDs onto my new laptop. Plus, my ipod used to be able to sync itself to multiple computers but now it only lets me sync to one at a time. It now has the contents of my fiancé’s itunes on there.

I used to listen to Fall Out Boy- From Under the Cork Tree a lot. I just never got sick of it. I need to re-buy it.

BMTH- There is a Hell… became an instant fave. I never really liked them much before this record. I’ve also jumped onto the ‘I love Oli Sykes’ bandwagon relatively recently.

Weezer- Blue album. Say it ain’t so still gives me goosebumps.

Top Cities…
Canterbury, Glasgow, London.

If you could be asked any question in an interview, what would it be?
Would you go out with Matthew Gray Gubler? To which I would answer “Hell, YES!”

You can read more about Nicki and her life here.
Or check out her Fiances band ‘November Coming Fire’ here.
